It is considered appropriate for people to be at least 18 years old in order to complete the development of the nose for surgery. 
However, in some special cases, this limit may be lowered to earlier ages. 
The surgery generally takes 2-3 hours. 
However, these periods may be longer in people who have more serious problems or have had nose surgery before. 
We prefer a closed technique that does not make any incisions from the outside, except for special cases. 
In revision surgeries, that is, in surgeries that have been previously operated but are re-operated due to aesthetic or functional problems,
it may be necessary to take a piece of your ear or rib cartilage, 
You will rest in the hospital the same day or one night after the surgery and be discharged the next morning. 
In general, there is no complaint of intense pain, in addition, pain may be experienced on the first day, but in this case, 
appropriate pain control is provided. As tampons, we use silicone or merocele tampons that do not hurt you when they are removed. 
The tampon is removed on the 2nd or 3rd day. No stitches are taken because we use a closed technique. 
Surgery is not a procedure that requires long-term rest. 
Especially after the tampon is removed, you can continue your life from where you left off. 
Depending on the interventions and personal factors, swelling and bruising may occur. 
While the bruises begin to heal in a few days, the swellings usually heal in 7-10 days. 
If a plaster/splint is placed on your nose, it is removed on the 7th day. 
It may take about 1 year for your nose to take its final shape, but 2-3 weeks after the operation, the results begin to appear in general.

After the surgery;

If you do not have a tiring, busy job, there is no problem in starting work in 1-2 weeks.
Even if swelling or bruising has occurred, they are expected to regress within the same period.
You should use nasal sprays and washes regularly after the tampons are removed.

It is very important to protect your nose against hard blows after the surgery.
We recommend that you do not stay under the sun for a long time for 3 months after the surgery.
In addition, it is recommended not to wear glasses for about 3 months, lenses can be used instead of glasses.
If you are a smoker, it is important for the nose to heal not to use it for at least 1 month after the surgery.
 

What is septoplasty?  

It means the correction of curvatures in the nose. It is the correction of deformations by making incisions in the nose. 
In general, it is a very simple and short-term, useful surgery.

How is nasal curvature diagnosed?

A diagnosis of curvature of the nose is made upon the patient's complaint.
If the patient has a nasal or functional complaint, treatment options are reviewed.

How is the curvature of the nose treated?

If the curvature inside the nose is also evident outside, the necessary treatment is performed with septorhinoplasty.
However, if the curvature does not manifest itself outside the nose, only septoplasty surgery is sufficient for the necessary correction.

What does nose tip aesthetics mean?

It is a suitable surgery for patients who do not have any complaints in places such as the back of the nose,
inside the nose, and who only have complaints such as width, lowness and length at the tip of the nose.
The operating area is only the tip of the nose. Open or closed technique can be applied.

What should be considered during rhinoplasty for thin-skinned patients?

In patients with thin skin, there should not be the slightest roughness in the bone and cartilagestructure during plastic surgery.
The reason for this is that the roughness that remains after the post-operative edema is gone may
distort the profile view of the patient. Patients with thick skin can tolerate possible roughness better.
